How to Always be Learning and Growing

Mind

There are so many opportunities throughout the day to feed your mind and implement what you learn into your life. These tools can be used to keep your brain happy, learning and growing. We always have a chance to grow and learn, while we’re biking, cleaning, working out, or other day to day activities .

Live as if you were to die tomorrow.
Learn as if you were to learn forever. – Ghandi

Here are some great tools and suggestions to help you on this life long journey of education:

Books

Find some new summer reads to help you learn and develop in areas you care most about. I read before bed and listen to a book on audible when I’m biking or driving.

My recent favourites:
-Sleep Smarter
-Finding Ultra
-The Happiness Project
-Anything thing by Brené Brown: The Gifts of Imperfection, Daring Greatly, I Thought It Was Just Me (But It Isn’t), Rising Strong

Daniel’s favourites:
-7 Habits of Highly Successful People
-Abundance
-The Psychology of Achievement
-The Lean Startup
-The Power of Now
-The Power of Habit
-The 4 Hour Workweek

Podcasts

There are hundreds of thousands of wonderful podcasts that provide so much great information based on anything you’re interested in. Download the app, they’re free and offer such innovative knowledge. I love listening to podcasts while I’m running and even while brushing my teeth.

Favourites:
My sister: Stuff You Missed In History Class
Daniel: Stuff you should know, TED Radio Hour, Startup School
Myself: The Model Health Show, The Rich Roll Podcast

TED Talks

This is another great way to keep your brain active and learning. Check out the TED website and watch some of the innovative and creative ideas being discussed around the world. You can pick videos based on the amount of time you have available, the most viewed talks, or whatever topics interest you. TED Talks help bring together forward thinkers, raise awareness about global issues, and empower people to strive further. Learn and grow from these amazing talks that can truly impact the way you think and live.

Keep your brain happy and grow a bit more everyday.

With love,

Lucy
